Hi, I am Baz, Welcome to Oceans Loft I am a semi-retired Oceanographer from the UK.
I also worked as a Professional Photographer. I studied Ecology, Geology and Oceanography at the Open University University and a Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Management at Surrey University.
Oh dear, how sad (thought I was back in Bethnal Green, not quite but almost). Great capture. The textures are so good, the sandy desert in front of the house and the colours of the house walls.
Thanks Pat its a HDR composit of 3 images, I played with the technique and came upon this image when I was looking for one to put up, basically it looks and all the high and low lights and averages them out to mid tones I quite like the effect, thanks for the visit and comment;)
Don't you often wish that walls could talk when you come across old abandoned builds such as this? I wonder about the history of the place, who once lived there, etc.
I do indeed wonder, it was on the edge of a small town in South Carolina caleed Society Hill, lots of the houses were abandond and had seen better days!
I was wondering if that was one of your pictures from your trip south. Looks familiar to places I saw growing up traveling through rural Arkansas. Great shot.
wow....that sure pulls at the heart strings....soooo sad!!
