Hi, I am Baz, Welcome to Oceans Loft I am a semi-retired Oceanographer from the UK.
I also worked as a Professional Photographer. I studied Ecology, Geology and Oceanography at the Open University University and a Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Management at Surrey University.
It just amazes me, how you made these rusty old pieces of junk look so good. Great combination of quotes. "All that glitters is not gold," Is one of my favorite quotes of all time. :~)
Your photo is so beautiful that the junk doesn't look junk at all... The words ring very true... Love this entry!
ReplyDeleteI see the quote is taken from an essential poem in the Lord of the Rings - referring to the king-to-be Aragorn.
ReplyDeleteHere is the rest -
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
Wonderful photo of the still-lifed rusty junk.
Thanks for your comment on mine.
These words keeps me ponder...
ReplyDeleteNice shot!

ReplyDeleteI look at machinery and such like this and I say...."today it is junk.....but in 100 years you probably won't be able to afford it's worth!!
ReplyDeleteBoth photo and quote have a sadness and much truths!
Baz you make junk look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the words you used.
Wonderful shot.
